Cultural Routes Annual Advisory Forum
From Oct. 5 to 7, 2022, after not going ahead for a few years due to covid, the Council of Europe’s Cultural Routes Annual Advisory Forum took place again. It was organised in the city of Chania on Crete/Greece. 440 participants from many countries of Europe came together to discuss the future of Cultural Routes. Many of the discussions focused on sustainability and the crisis Europe is currently in.
Visibility and cooperation between the routes were also important discussions. Megalithic Routes was one of the participating organizations.
There were many positive words about the development of the Cultural Routes network. Three new cultural routes were added in 2022 so the total now sits at 48 routes. Several new ones are planned for next year as well.
